APA announces newly formed ECP Caucus
The APA Board of Trustees has approved the formation of an Early Career Psychiatrist Caucus, thanks to the interest and proactivity of several ECP members – specifically Drs. Jessica Worley (Minnesota), Sid Shenoy and Jasleen Singh (both from Illinois).
This initiative directly aligns with the work championed by Dr. Gandhi as Chair of the Membership Committee. It’s a true reflection of her vision and leadership that RFMs and now ECPs now have a space to connect, collaborate, advocate and continue refining how we all work together to support these broader member communities.
This Caucus will be by and for ECPs, so anyone in the current ECP special interest group who is not an ECP will be given approximately 30 days during the transition period before they are removed from the group.
As APA's IT department and marketing department launch the new Caucus, anyone not already a member of the ECP special interest group can opt-in via my.psychiatry.org and select Special Interest Communities > Early Career Psychiatrists Community. Any ECP who joins that will automatically be moved into the Caucus.
